What type of charities do you work with?

We work with anyone that can guarantee the following:

  • You are looking for skilled volunteers that can not only help you, but also develop themselves.

  • You will train them sufficiently to fulfil the role and you'll use VOLO to contact them and record their hours and recommendations, as well as let us know how things went.

  • You will ensure the safety of volunteers while they are working with you and do your best to provide an engaging and enjoyable environment

  • Your organisation is addressing a real social issue that will make the world a better place
     

What do you want to know about us?

We usually ask about what you really need help with, beyond volunteers as well as what kind of volunteers you want, how quickly and how many. We also just like to know your team- it's always nicer for everyone to speak to a real human!
 

Can you guarantee volunteers?

Unfortunately not, but we try our darned hardest to find you the right people.
 

What happens if something stops working?

A member of the team is always available to respond to an email/phone call/chat/Facebook message so feel free to get in touch. We love to know when there's a problem because it helps us to make things better!
 

I don't know how to do something on the site. Can you help?

We're always available to help. You can contact us on community@volo.org.uk or consult the user guide.
 

How safe is our data?

We take GDPR and Data Protection VERY SERIOUSLY and our technology is built to protect you and your users .
 

Do you contact our volunteers?
Only for important must-know technology updates and if we think they might be able to help someone else. Sharing is caring!


Can volunteers sign up without us telling them to?

Absolutely. And they can still connect to you by either recording their hours with you or signing up to an opportunity with you.

What about our existing volunteers? Can they use VOLO?
100%. We know that lots of you already have a ton of great people so you can either invite them using their emails or send us their info and we'll do it for you (as it can take a while if there's lots of them!). As soon as they sign up via the invite, they'll be automatically added to your dashboard. Easy peasy!
